Jeffrey EscobarJeffrey Escobar is the founder and CTO of House AI, an AI interior design app available in 175+ countries, and founder of Addicting Elements and Fictura. He lives in Miami, Florida.
A software engineer by training, Jeffrey graduated from Johns Hopkins University in computer science in May 2026. He leads the product and the technology behind House AI, which turns a photo of a room into a redesign the user can act on. It is live on the App Store, Google Play, and the web.
Swimming came first
Swimming is one of Jeffrey's foundations. He trained for years before high school, then swam varsity breaststroke and took 1st place in competition. The hardest stretch was Hell Week: two weeks of training, six days a week, in a freezing meter pool. Wake at 4 a.m., practice until 9, return at 4 p.m., finish at 7. Sleep. Repeat.

The early startups
Jeffrey has been shipping since his teens. In 2019 he built a stock market tool that scanned Twitter for user-chosen keywords and piped every live mention into a Discord server, giving traders an early read on breaking news. In 2020 he built an NFT generator that produced 4K video pieces in under 30 minutes. Through 2020 and 2021 he wrote weekly research reports for small firms in New York City, including one that argued Palantir would have a phenomenal run in the years ahead. In August 2025 he built AltaRealm, an AI world-building game inspired by Stardew Valley where players generate their own worlds, trees, maps, and objects. He built the entire game solo: frontend, backend, graphics, and UI.
Then came fifthwheel, the project that pulled his team together. Jeffrey went business to business across Miami and Doral, talking with freight brokers and installing the software in person, then drove 4 hours to Tampa for a single install. He calls it the Collison install, after Stripe founder Patrick Collison, who set up Stripe's first users by hand. In October 2025 he and Arshroop Saini took fifthwheel to San Francisco to raise a pre-seed.
Meeting Arshroop
Jeffrey met Arshroop Saini in the funniest way possible. A mutual friend posted a message on Discord that read, "We're looking to win." Jeffrey sent a DM immediately. They met the next day, clicked instantly, and got to work on ShellHacks, the Miami hackathon, in September 2025. Out of that partnership came Addicting Elements, the company behind House AI.
The Morgan Stanley decision
After a long gauntlet of interviews, Jeffrey earned a role on Morgan Stanley's software and AI team. He respectfully turned it down. He would rather build apps, technology, and software of his own. A salary is linear. A product compounds.
House AI
House AI is an AI interior design app with 150,000+ downloads across 175+ countries, available in 40+ languages on the App Store, Google Play, and the web. Its shop connects the rooms it generates to real products from Amazon, IKEA, West Elm, Williams Sonoma, Wayfair, Walmart, and Castlery.
Growth runs on an organic content engine: a network of creators who post real videos of the app in their own voice. Jeffrey's technical focus is inventory-first AI image generation, so the rooms House AI shows people are grounded in products that actually exist. He checks the work in person too: in January 2026 he walked waterfront rooms in Miami Beach, verifying House AI generated designs against the real spaces.
Being present
Jeffrey makes a point of being in the room. He likes to explore, meet people, and understand more.

He has presented at the University of Miami LaunchPad, joined an invite-only Y Combinator event in San Francisco after CalHacks, and built at YC Agent Jam '25, Y Combinator's AI agent hackathon. In May 2023 he was an invited guest at the New York Stock Exchange. He has been invited to conventions in Washington, D.C., including one where he implemented an AI system for human resources for a company in Alexandria, Virginia. In March 2024 he attended a reception at the British Embassy in Washington, where he met Dame Karen Pierce, then UK Ambassador to the United States.
The golden age
Jeffrey is 25. In August 2026, Business Insider featured him in a story about young builders and AI. He told them the truth: "I can't leave my desk."
His view is that most young people are not taking advantage of a finite window. The old prerequisites for starting a company are gone. The tools are here. What is left is execution: grit, dedication, and focus.

He calls this the golden age of technology, and he intends to spend it building: a better future for people now, and an easier starting line for the next generation. "I love working. I think this is my calling, and I'm not going to stop."
